NELICO’s Gender Project stands firm in the fight against gender inequality, gender-based violence, sexual harassment, exploitation, and abuse, driven by a feminist vision of justice and empowerment. We equip women, girls, and allies to challenge harmful norms through training, advocacy, and grassroots action, creating champions of equality who inspire change in their communities.

Our approach combines education, economic empowerment, and strong advocacy — from school-based awareness on GBV and sexual reproductive health rights, to support desks in police stations, to engaging religious and community leaders in promoting equality. We provide start-up capital for women entrepreneurs, fostering financial independence and resilience.

With every action, we move closer to a future where women and girls are safe, empowered, and able to thrive free from discrimination and violence.
