Strengthening Teacher Motivation. Transforming Education.

WEZESHA MWALIMU is an education initiative implemented by New Light Children Centre Organization (NELICO), with support from TEN/MET, in ten public secondary schools in Geita District Council, Tanzania. The project aims to improve teacher motivation, wellbeing, professional development, and teaching quality through teacher recognition, mentorship, peer learning, and community engagement. By strengthening collaboration among schools, communities, and local authorities, the project seeks to create a supportive and sustainable environment where teachers feel valued and students benefit from quality education.
